Petropolis Full Day Tour
Petropolis town is a nice contrast to
the Beach scene of Rio. The air is clean
up here and you’ll appreciate the escape
from the humidity of Rio.
The town features several museums and
residences of the Royal family that as
well as a Cathedral and the Imperial museum
which all lend insight into what life was
like here during the 19th century for the
rich and famous.
We highly recommend a visit to the Imperial
City where the guest will find Rio´s mountain
summer resorts. Dom Pedro II established
Petropolis as a summer retreat away from
the big city of Rio. It is located 2,400
feet above sea level and it continues to
be a popular getaway for Cariocas. The
city is located one hour east from Rio.
We will focus on the historic part of
the city as well as the majority of monuments,
museums and traditional streets such as
“ Rua Teresa” where our guests can find
a great place for shopping. |
